Emily Giffin’s latest novel ALL WE EVER WANTED released to much fanfare this month! The novel, about three very different people who must choose between their families and their values after a drunken photo taken at a party tears their lives apart, has been getting phenomenal reviews from readers and press alike. Here are just some of the snippets:
The book has gotten coverage by Good Morning America, Entertainment Weekly, Today.com and The Today Show, Fox News, NBC, Popsugar, Entertainment Tonight, Southern Living, TheSkimm, Haute Living, Us Weekly and more. In order to get behind this remarkable book, PLM worked closely with Ballantine Books, Random House Canada and our retail partners in order to expand the novel’s reach at retail and in the public eye. Here are just some of the things we’ve done:
Barnes & Noble
Andrea Mai, PLM’s Executive Director of Publisher & Retail Relations, worked closely with Emily, Ballantine and the team at Barnes & Noble to create a special edition that includes behind-the-scene tour of Nashville, the city at the center of the story. It includes special photos from various spots around the city as well as Emily’s thoughts on this city’s gems.
At Target, the exclusive edition of ALL WE EVER WANTED includes a special discussion guide as well as a letter from Emily Giffin about the inspiration behind the book. Emily also narrated a special video feature about the book that was used on the video feature wall at Target stores around the country!
Every year, Indigo picks several Pantone colors around which they design their store—and this year Emily’s book got in on the action! For Indigo, we created a special, exclusive cover in one of Indigo’s Pantone colors to help add a (colorful) splash to the book there on release. We also did a special Q&A for Indigo that will be featured in their June newsletter, which goes out to over a million readers!
But it’s not all hard work, all the time. PLM’s Executive Director of Branding and Client Promotions went down to Nashville the week of the book’s publication to celebrate with Emily Giffin at the Garden Party she and Ballantine threw! Emily’s tour includes stops in Charlotte (in conversation with Sheri Lynch), Nashville, New York (in conversation with Megan Kelley), Washington, Atlanta (in conversation with Mara Davis), Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Dallas, and Toronto.
